Suggestion: Check out the YuGiOh Wikia's set-up for their cards. For each of the cards there are additional pages for Card Tips, Rulings (doesn't apply here), Errata, Images (in case there is ever alternate art), and such. Strategies could work like that. 108.199.117.165 00:47, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

Possible Card Layout changes:

Artwork Toggle: A toggle near the card artworks which allow you to switch between them. For cards with multiple artworks, such as cards which get censored (as well as future-proofing in case any cards get updated/modified artwork). A way to archive name changes would also be nice (Such as Bondage, which is now something like Restraint)

'Crafts Into:' Field: A field in the layout for listing cards which the submitted card upgrades into (Such as if a user looks up a card they don't need in hopes of finding what they can use it for). This feature is lacking in the original game, so it would bring a lot of value to the wiki as a user source!

Brainstorn: Perhaps a 'Strategies' section for each card which would list popular ways to use cards, and advanced strategies? With the Doc providing all the stats and the upcoming card browser to the official website, it would give some appeal for people to continue using a wiki!

I'm not sure where to fit a toggle button into the card template, so I just put a link to the old picture at the bottom of the page. If you can find a better place to put it, feel free to change it, though hopefully we won't have many cards getting "updated" artwork.

I do like the suggestion of a "Crafts Into" section, and I plan to work on that when I get the time.

As for a strategies section, I think that should be on separate pages instead of the individual card pages. My reasoning is that the card pages should stick to facts, since people may disagree on what a good strategy is for each card. Also, most strategies will be about multiple cards working together, so instead of copying that to each applicable page, we should make strategy pages separate.

I started on the strategies section and would love for people to update and add towards that section.

Something else that would be nice would be deck formats that can be shown and explained to the users that can kinda belong to the strategies section.

I cleaned up the messy front page! The elaborate dungeon/lab selections were moved to their respective pages (now linked to by the official icons I extracted from the game) Let's try and keep the front-page as clean as possible, size-wise. I also uploaded a flag icon extracted, and if anybody knows a nice way to incorporate that, be my guest. And if anybody knows how to create a better background, that would be awesome! Currently they have something like a 148KB limit, and I can't figure out how sites make it work so well.

Lastly, I've begun adding the EP3 cards, and I've finished with Vita. Though the EX1 set is quite a bit bigger, oof! If anybody sees any errors (or knows what the rarities are), that would be a nice add! I'm using the official (possibly unpolished) translations, which neither the Docs/Deckbuilder use yet, making the wiki the most accurate source. Let's keep it the best!

From here on, try to leave the filenames for the cards as the original ID. This helps prevent re-uploading the same art, as well as being easier to reference if you need to imbed a card as it's easier to look up it's ID on it's wiki page than guess what it's name was renamed to. (ID)L.png for larges!

I've moved the starter deck lists from the faction pages to the Deck Shop page.

The possibility of alternate arts I mentioned earlier (even though it was more towards censorships) turned out to be true! In the case of the new Extra dungeon, there's an alternate art version of the original four faction leader cards. Same name, same effect. What do? Other than an artwork toggle, of course..

Feature request:

Would it be possible to add some kind of character filter regarding who the card art / text is relating to? Just to make it easier to piece together the story.

Example.

Chief maid, negotiation table, negotiation breakdown, unemployed maid.

Would all have the Category:Chief Maid.

Stuff we probably need.[]

Links to other cards on the card page, page about specific sharacters, not as in Caracter Cards, but as in person. Tgose would have infos about the story of the game, as well ans links to every cards containing that one character. MarioJR. 16:03, May 21, 2012 (UTC)

New templates[]

Alright so, I made a new card template (because I feared I'd break something if I just edited the previous one) Template:CardTable2 as well as a "Used in" template Template:UsedIn. I show them here: User:MarioJR/Personal Sandbox

Please, please don't use the used in template in common material card pages! I fear we'll run of space really fast if we do that! And if you do run out of spaces to write card names, you can easily add more in the template page. As of now, there's space for 51 recipes.

If you're more experienced, then please do edit my templates. I started making them with no knowledge of how to make templates at all.

Visual spoiler[]

Is there a visual spoiler for SG? I have some Korean printed cards and would love to be able to easily understand them. Piotrus (talk) 12:10, August 20, 2014 (UTC)
