Thoughts of putting up PNG faction emblems with transparency?

Hello all! I've taken a quick edit to the existing faction emblems (in .gif format) and converted them to .png with transparency. The results: can be seen here: Some could use a little more work / cleaning but personally I feel they look nicer than the .gif versions. Any thoughts on changing them?
